Accessibility

Effective October 26, 2026.

1. Our commitment

Wednesday Table is for everyone who plays. Many of our players are in their fifties, sixties and seventies, and some use larger text, a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or a phone held at arm's length. We want every one of them to be able to find an event, sign up, and see their scores without help from anyone.

2. The standard we work toward

Our goal is for the wednesdaytable.com website, the app at app.wednesdaytable.com and the Wednesday Table phone app to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We treat that as the standard for new work and we fix what falls short as we find it.

3. What we do today

  • Large type by default, on every page, with plain words and short sentences.
  • Strong color contrast. When a club chooses its own colors, we check them and adjust them so the text stays readable.
  • Every form field has a written label, and error messages say in words what went wrong.
  • No passwords to remember unless you want one. You sign in with a link sent to your email or a code sent to your phone.
  • Pages work with your browser's zoom, and nothing stops you from pinching to enlarge a page on your phone.

4. Where we may fall short

We are a new service and we have not yet had an independent accessibility review. Some parts of Wednesday Table may not yet meet our goal. In particular:

  • Maps, address suggestions and payment forms are provided by other companies (Google and Stripe), and we do not control how they are built.
  • Printed materials such as seating charts and scorecards are made for paper, and the files behind them may not read well in a screen reader.
  • Pages that a club builds for itself may include photos without descriptions.

5. Tell us what is not working

If any part of Wednesday Table is hard for you to use, please email director@wednesdaytable.com. Tell us the page you were on and what happened, and the device or assistive technology you use if you know it. We aim to reply within five business days, and we will tell you what we can fix and when.

6. If you need help right now

If you cannot complete something on Wednesday Table, such as signing up for an event or changing your details, email director@wednesdaytable.com and we will do it with you or for you. Your club's leader or the event's host can also sign you up.

7. Contact
